Crystal Sykes

Crystal Sykes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Crystal has held various roles in different organizations. Crystal began their career at Chicago Public Schools in 2003 as a Project Manager. In 2007, they transitioned to the role of Senior Business Analyst within the same organization. Crystal then joined Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights in 2011, where they worked as an HR Business Partner and later as the Director of Human Resources. In 2017, Crystal moved to Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston as the Chief People Officer. Most recently, they joined ACLU of Texas in 2019, serving as the Director of Human Resources and currently as the Chief Operating Officer.

Crystal Sykes attended the University of Illinois Chicago where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Human Resources and Business Management. Crystal also studied Civic Leadership at the University of Chicago and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in Law and Public Policy from Walden University.
