Lauren Johnson

Lauren Johnson currently serves as Justice Director at Dream.Org since December 2023. In addition, Lauren is a member of the Advisory Council for the National Religious Campaign Against Torture and holds dual roles as Criminal Justice Outreach Coordinator and Policy Advocacy Strategist at ACLU of Texas since July 2017. Lauren's previous experience includes a position on the Board of Directors for Truth Be Told from October 2021 to December 2023, Advocacy Fellow for the Austin Travis County Reentry Roundtable from January 2016 to July 2017, and Director of Organizing Strategies at the Texas Inmate Families Association from September 2016 to June 2017. Earlier roles include Criminal Justice Fellow at Grassroots Leadership from January 2015 to January 2016, focusing on legislative advocacy and community organizing. Educational credentials include training from Just Leadership USA in Leading with Conviction (2016) and Essentials BCE from Leadership Austin (2017).
