Candace Brown

Candace Brown has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Corporate Counsel at the ACLU since 2017, following her role as Senior Associate Corporate Counsel. Prior to this, Candace worked as a freelance attorney and consultant from 2015 to January 2017 and held the position of Managing Director at Badass Animal Rescue, Inc. from 2012 to 2016. Additional experience includes an externship at Boston Children's Hospital Integrated Care Organization in 2013, and earlier positions as an Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP from 2004 to 2009 and Law Clerk at the Equal Justice Initiative in 2004. Candace holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from New York University School of Law and a Master of Public Health (MPH) focused on Law and Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Undergraduate education was completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
