Chase Strangio is a legal professional with extensive experience in LGBTQ rights and prisoner justice. Since January 2013, Chase has served as the Co-Director of the LGBTQ & HIV Project at the ACLU. Previously, Chase founded the Lorena Borjas Community Fund, where leadership was exercised as Board President from March 2014 to January 2020. Additionally, from August 2010 to October 2012, Chase directed the Prisoner Justice Initiatives at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and interned at the Legal Aid Society in the Criminal Defense Practice in 2009. Chase holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Northeastern University School of Law, earned in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Grinnell College, obtained in 2004.
