Chris Hampton

Chris Hampton possesses extensive experience in advocacy and public education, particularly within the realms of civil liberties and LGBTQ+ rights. Since August 2002, Chris has served as the Youth and Program Strategist at the American Civil Liberties Union, overseeing programs related to youth and schools, developing educational materials on students' rights, and engaging in national advocacy efforts, particularly concerning transgender rights. Prior to this role, Chris held multiple positions at Lambda Legal, including Managing Editor and Public Information Coordinator, where responsibilities ranged from overseeing publication production to media relations. Chris's career began at The Liberty Press and The Community Tool Box, showcasing a strong foundation in journalism and public communications, underpinned by a B.A. in journalism from the University of Arkansas.
