Colleen Connell has served as the Executive Director of the ACLU of Illinois since 1984, focusing on civil liberties and social justice. Prior to this role, Colleen held the position of Associate Legal Director and Director of the Reproductive Rights Project at the ACLU of Illinois. Colleen also contributed to Planned Parenthood Illinois as a board member from 1984 to 1990. Colleen obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, completing studies from 1977 to 1980.
