Emily Berkowitz is an accomplished professional in communications and legal strategy, currently serving as a Communications Strategist in Criminal Justice and a Special Assistant to the Director of the Trone Center for Justice and Equality at the ACLU since August 2021. Prior to this role, Emily contributed to the legal field as a Paralegal in the Disability Rights Program at the ACLU and as a Litigation Paralegal at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP from June 2019 to August 2021. Emily's earlier experience includes a position as a Student Paralegal Fellow with the Legal Aid Society of Mid New York and an internship with The Acceleration Project. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Colgate University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2019.
