Esha Bhandari currently serves as the Deputy Project Director for the Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project at the ACLU, a position held since December 2020, while also teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Law at New York University School of Law since January 2023. Prior to these roles, Bhandari was a Senior/Staff Attorney for the ACLU from 2014 to 2020 and worked as an Equal Justice Works Fellow/Attorney for the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project from 2011 to 2013. Bhandari began a legal career as a Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit from 2010 to 2011. Bhandari holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, a BA with First Class Honours in Political Science from McGill University, and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
