Jacob van Leer is a Staff Attorney at the ACLU Voting Rights Project, beginning in November 2023. Previous experience includes serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Jacob has worked as a Political Litigation Associate at Perkins Coie LLP and completed roles as a Summer Associate and Legal Intern at various organizations, including the Office of the New York State Attorney General and the Office of United States Senator Maggie Hassan. Jacob holds a Doctor of Law from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University. Additional educational experience includes studies at L'Università di Siena and attendance at Hanover High School.
