Julia Squitteri is a dedicated researcher and advocate with extensive experience in civil rights and youth advocacy. Currently serving on the Youth Advisory Board at the ACLU since May 2021, Julia leads research on gender and racial discrimination in public school dress codes and has contributed to various advocacy initiatives, including speaking at the ACLU's National Advocacy Institute. As the Founder and Executive Director of The Ruth Project, Julia successfully led a campaign for equitable dress code policies in their school district. Academically, Julia is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at American University, consistently achieving a 4.0 GPA and receiving Dean’s List honors. In addition to roles in academic support and research, Julia co-leads the university's It's On Us chapter and has internship experience at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
