Rachel G.

Rachel G. currently serves as the Associate Director of Records Management and Archives at the ACLU since July 2023. Prior to this role, Rachel was a User Experience Copywriter at GeneDx from November 2020 to July 2023 and held the position of Lead Archivist and Project Manager at The Winthrop Group, Inc. from September 2019 to October 2020. Rachel's extensive archival experience includes roles as Head of Accessions and Appraisals as well as Associate Archivist at the Municipal Archives at the Department of Records and Information Services in New York City from May 2015 to September 2019. Additional positions include Reference Librarian & Registrar at Fales Library and Special Collections, Archivist at The Grolier Club, and Public Records Officer at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection. Rachel's early career included roles in finance and administration at United Way of the Columbia-Willamette and Hippo Hardware and Trading Company. Rachel holds a Master's degree in Archives and Public History from New York University, an MA in Creative Writing from City College of the City University of New York, and a Bachelor's degree in United States History from Barnard College.
