Rachel's early career included roles in finance and administration at United Way of the Columbia-Willamette and Hippo Hardware and Trading Company. Rachel holds a Master's degree in Archives and Public History from New York University, an MA in Creative Writing from City College of the City University of New York, and a Bachelor's degree in United States History from Barnard College.
