Mike Shipley

Mike Shipley has an extensive work experience in the brick manufacturing industry. Mike started their career at Acme Brick in 1985, where they held various roles such as Project Engineer, Regional Engineer, Production Supervisor, and Plant Superintendent. In 1999, they joined Hanson Brick as a Plant Manager, overseeing the safety, quality, and financial performance of a key site. Mike then moved on to become the Vice President of the West Region at Hanson Brick, leading the region through a housing downturn and implementing cost-saving measures. As the Director of Technical Resources, they formed energy management teams and achieved significant natural gas cost savings. In 2011, Shipley assumed the role of Vice President of US Operations at Hanson Brick and Roof Tile, where they successfully reopened a concrete roof tile plant. Mike later joined Forterra Brick as the Vice President of North American Operations, assuming responsibility for operations in Canada and the US. Shipley then joined Meridian Brick as the VP of Manufacturing, where they played a key role in a joint venture between two major brick manufacturers. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Production at Acme Brick.

Mike Shipley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
