ACME is a university spin-off developing real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) infrastructure for power electronics and electrified systems.

Modern electrified systems - from EV drivetrains to industrial motion and aerospace actuators - rely on increasingly complex embedded control software. Yet validating this software traditionally requires physical hardware prototypes and expensive laboratory infrastructure.

ACME removes this bottleneck by enabling engineers to test and validate production control software months before hardware prototypes are available.

Our real-time HIL platform virtualises the power electronics system - including the power stage, electrical machine, and surrounding environment - around the target embedded controller. This allows engineering teams to perform early software validation directly at their desks, reduce dependence on dyno laboratories, and accelerate system development.

With ACME, testing costs can drop from €100+/hour lab environments to below €10/hour, while development timelines can improve by 6–12 months.
