ACN International Aid to the Church in Need
Luis María Sisto is a seasoned professional in international development and cooperation, currently serving as the Head of Section Afrika VI at ACN International Aid to the Church in Need since November 2023. Prior to this role, Luis María worked at COOPI - Cooperazione Internazionale as a Desk Officer for the Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Republic of Chad from November 2020 to November 2023. Luis María has extensive experience with the AVSI Foundation, holding various leadership roles including Country Representative for Palestine, Israel, Congo Brazzaville, and Albania, and has managed numerous projects aimed at improving socioeconomic conditions and educational access in these regions. With a background that includes founding the first food bank in Argentina and consulting for the Inter-American Development Bank, Luis María possesses a strong foundation in project management and international relations, supported by a degree in Anthropology and various advanced courses in public health and development management.

ACN International Aid to the Church in Need
Founded in 1947 as a Catholic aid organization for war refugees and recognized as a papal foundation since 2011, ACN is dedicated to the service of Christians around the world, through information, prayer and action, wherever they are persecuted or oppressed or suffering material need. ACN supports every year an average of 6000 projects in close to 150 countries, thanks to private donations, as the foundation receives no public funding.
