Maria Beatriz Segura

Maria Beatriz Segura is a Senior Associate, Legal and Compliance at ACON Investments. Prior to commencing to consult for ACON in 2021, Ms. Segura was a Senior Associate at Mendoza Abogados, a boutique Colombian law firm, where she worked on cross-border financings, M&A and leveraged transactions. Prior to that, she was an International Associate in Sidley Austin’s New York office, where she advised local banks in asset-backed facilities and launched several investment funds under U.S. and Ontario law. Ms. Segura began her career at Mijares Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes and Gómez-Pinzón, Tier 1 law firms in Mexico and Colombia, respectively.

Ms. Segura holds a B.A in Law from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she also earned the Wharton Business and Law Certificate. Ms. Segura is admitted to practice law in Colombia.
