Peter Hsieh

Peter Hsieh is a General Partner at Acorn Pacific Ventures. Peter has over 20 years of experience in the venture capital and private equity industry.

Peter started their career as a Vice President at H&Q Asia Pacific from 1999 to 2000. Peter then joined Harbinger Ventures as a Partner from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, they joined AsiaVest Partners as a Partner and was responsible for leading 3 transactions, i.e., iSoftStone, Lattice Power, and Leyou. Peter sat on the board of all 3 companies and was very active in helping their portfolio companies in all aspect of managing growth.

In 2013, they joined Coretronic Venture Capital as President and then Coretronic as Chief Strategy Officer from April 2013 to June 2015.

From July 2007 to August 2012, they were also a Board Director at Leyou, Inc, the number one baby product retailer in China. After their investment in 2007, the company grew its directly owned physical stores from single digit in Beijing to over 370 stores in 2013 in multiple cities througout China.

Peter has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Peter Hsieh has a PhD in Engineering from Stanford University and a ME in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
