Sergio Faggiani has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance and hospitality industry. Sergio started their career as a Senior Supervisor Assurance at PwC España in 2004 and later joined Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts as the Finance Director for Hotel Bahia Principe San Juan. In 2011, they joined Meliá Hotels International, where they held various finance roles including Internal Audit Manager, Corporate Finance, Administration and Quality Assurance Director for Club Melia, Director of Finance for the Mediterranean Region, and Senior Director Finance for the Americas. In 2020, they founded ASIA Recovery LLC, serving as the CFO and Founder, and also worked as the Executive Director of Finance and later the Chief Financial Officer at Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach. In 2023, Sergio founded Social Films International and serves as the CFO & Founder. Sergio is known for their strategic expertise in driving operating efficiencies, re-engineering processes, and delivering exceptional outcomes. Sergio is proficient in Spanish and English, with medium-level proficiency in Portuguese, and basic knowledge of French and Italian.
Sergio Faggiani's education history includes several qualifications in various fields. In 1999 to 2004, they attended Universidad CEU San Pablo, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on business administration and auditing. In 2007, they pursued a Grado en Direccion de Operaciones Hoteleras at Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Aguadilla, specializing in hospitality operations. In 2015, they enrolled at the University of Miami Herbert Business School and completed an Executive MBA in Business Administration. Later in the same year, Sergio attended Universitat de les Illes Balears, where they pursued an Experto en E-Tourism: Comercialización y Marketing online, emphasizing online marketing. In 2020, they obtained a Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University, specializing in hospitality administration and management. Finally, in 2023, Sergio is set to attend the MIT Sloan School of Management to complete an Executive Program focused on artificial intelligence.
