Ruoyu Shi

Ruoyu Shi has worked as a Backend Engineer at Acre since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Master Thesis Project at SBG, a Catapult company, from May 2021 to September 2021, where they designed and implemented an algorithm to automatically identify soccer teams' formation. They were able to reduce the formation analysis time from several hours to 15 minutes, and their project was one of seven presented at the UCL CS Student Showcase 2021. Before that, Ruoyu Shi worked as a Software Engineer Associate at Print Express UK from January 2021 to March 2021, where they were responsible for maintaining a drag and drop database interface for a low-code platform.

Ruoyu Shi completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Materials Science from Shandong University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In 2020, Ruoyu Shi pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from UCL, and their studies continued until 2021. Additionally, Ruoyu Shi obtained certifications in "Learning Docker" from LinkedIn in November 2020 and "IELTS Academic 7.0" from IELTS Official in February 2020.
