Leon Hernandez

Leon Hernandez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Leon is currently the Lead Product Manager at Acreditta, where they are involved in building a platform for digital recognition using decentralized/web3 technology. Prior to this, Leon worked as a Program Manager at Antivirus para la Deserción from September 2020 to February 2022.

Leon's experience also includes working at Bancolombia, where they held multiple roles. As a Skill Hacker (IT Knowledge Management), they developed knowledge management policies for the IT department and implemented learning paths for IT professionals. Leon also scouted cutting-edge technologies impacting the industry. Later, as a Service Owner, Leon facilitated collaboration between IT teams and business, implemented DevOps practices, and contributed to the digital transformation of the organization.

Additionally, Leon co-founded Zoco Credit, a fintech startup aimed at enabling open banking in Latin America. Leon was involved in building a cross-border debt marketplace for the financial sector. Before Zoco, Leon co-founded Cautoh, a mobile app company focused on raising awareness of alcohol consumption effects. The app received recognition from the IADB and Leon presented the project at an event organized by Demand Solutions.

Earlier in their career, Leon co-founded Devint, a software/hardware development company, where they led the development of solutions for clients with technology problems. Leon also worked at Netux as a Hardware Software Engineer, responsible for electronic design, product development, and IoT platform integration.

Leon's academic experience includes being a Visiting Professor at the Universidad de Antioquia, where they taught subjects related to circuits and signals treatment. Leon also conducted research in computer vision and artificial intelligence, presenting their work at a symposium.
