Jim Powers is an experienced professional in communications and content creation, currently serving as an usher at Acrisure Arena since December 2022 to enhance customer experiences. With a robust background in online content, Jim held the position of Senior Online Editor at Palm Springs Life from November 2012 to November 2022, where original content, photography, and videos were produced for the publication's website. Previous roles include as a Writer & Editor for Kathleen McEntee and Associates, Editor for Patch.com, and Freelance Writer for Pioneer Press, among others, contributing to community journalism and strategic communication initiatives across various platforms. Jim also served as a Community Relations Specialist for North Shore School District and was involved in educational efforts as an Adjunct Faculty member at Mesa Community College, where faculty-developed courses increased student enrollment in the journalism program. Jim holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Illinois State University.

Acrisure Arena
Acrisure Arena is being built in partnership between Oak View Group and the Seattle Kraken. In addition to serving as the home of the AHL affiliate team of the Seattle Kraken - Coachella Valley Firebirds - the new Arena will provide a brand new concert venue to will broaden the entertainment offerings available in the Coachella Valley. The Arena will be an open venue and work with all national, regional, and local event promoters to bring an array of diverse and top events to the Coachella Valley. This arena features a partnership with Live Nation, the #1 concert promoter in the world, touching 7 million fans across 26,000 events in nearly 200 venues worldwide.
