RV Rao has a long and extensive work experience. RV started their career as a Consulting Manager at Tata Consultancy Services in 1973 and remained in that position until 1981. From there, they joined DEC as a Manager in 1986 and stayed until 1996. In 1986, they also took on the role of Director of Internet Practice at Compaq, which they held until 2000. RV then transitioned to become a Director at Nortel from 2000 to 2002. RV Rao continued their career at Infoclarus as the Vice President of the Central Region from 2002 to 2004. Currently, they hold the position of Division President for IT Services and VMS Solutions at Acro Services since 2004.
RV Rao completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, between 1966 and 1971. RV later pursued a Master of Technology degree in Computer Science from the same institute, graduating between 1971 and 1973.
