Stanislav Protassov co-founded Acronis in 2001 and currently leads the company's operations.
As Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Engineering and R&D at Parallels, he managed software engineering in a wide range of development environments including Windows, Novell Netware and UNIX. Previously, as Architect and Developer at Solomon Software, Stanislav received personal praise from Bill Gates for Solomon Software's Cassandra product architecture. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the MIPT. He has authored over 100 patent applications, own 40 patents to date, and has won more than 50 awards for software development.
