Thomas Schleider

Thomas Schleider is a Senior Researcher specializing in Data Science at Acronis since November 2022, previously holding the title of Machine Learning Researcher with a focus on Market Intelligence. Prior to this, Thomas conducted research as a PhD candidate at EURECOM from January 2019 to September 2022, where the thesis explored Knowledge Modeling and Multilingual Information Extraction related to Silk Cultural Heritage as part of the SILKNOW H2020 European Project. Experience includes a role as Natural Language Processing Lead at Omnio (part of IBM) in 2018, digital marketing assistance at Pfizer in Denmark, and an internship at Siemens Healthcare in Taipei. Early career experiences include positions as a tourist guide in Norway, web administrator at the University of Freiburg, and a journalism internship at Computec Media GmbH. Thomas holds a PhD in Computer Science from Sorbonne Université, a Master of Science in IT & Cognition from the University of Copenhagen, and a Bachelor's degree in Scandinavian Studies & Cognitive Science from the University of Freiburg.
