Rean van der Merwe

Rean van der Merwe, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer of Acrontum South Africa and Acrontum Portugal, overseeing operations in both regions since December 2021 and January 2022, respectively. As Chief Operating Officer at Acrontum GmbH since June 2020, Rean van der Merwe manages operations, systems, and processes to support digital innovation. Previous experience includes roles such as Technical Director at Acrontum, Director at The Woodshed Studio, and Software Engineering Manager at HolidayCheck AG, among others. Rean van der Merwe holds a PhD and an MSc in Computer Science from The Open University, completed in 2012 and 2007, respectively.
