Mike McCarthy

Mike McCarthy is a seasoned Principal Concept Artist at Act III Ltd since April 2024, previously serving as a Concept Artist at STUDIO GOBO from July 2018 to April 2024, and at Criterion Games from May 2017 to June 2018. McCarthy's career includes significant roles at Ghost Games EA as a Concept and Storyboard Artist and at Lionhead Studios, where tenure spanned from July 2007 to April 2016, culminating in a position as Lead Concept Artist for Fable Legends. During this time, McCarthy developed character and creature concepts for Fable 2 and Fable 3 while leading a team of concept artists. Additional experience includes working on Black and White 2 and The Movies at Lionhead Studios and serving as Lead Artist on the Feral project at Lost Toys. McCarthy's foundational skills were built at TDV with early contributions to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy PC Game. Educational qualifications were obtained from Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, London, and Sir Walter St Johns School in Battersea, United Kingdom.
