Doug Mekanik

Doug Mekanik has over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry. In 2006, they began freelancing as a Programmer/Lighting Designer. In 2008, they were the Head of Lighting at Craftworks Sound. In 2009, they were the Lighting Supervisor at the Ferguson Center for the Arts, where they maintained 800+ lighting instruments and acted as the in-house lighting designer and programmer. In 2010, they were the Product Specialist at TMB, providing technical support and training on a variety of products in the professional Entertainment Industry. In 2011, they joined ACT Entertainment as the Director of Sales, and subsequently held the positions of Southeast Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Regional Sales, and Technical Services- Software Support and Training.

Doug Mekanik attended Christopher Newport University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a degree in Theater Design/Technology with a focus on Lighting Design.
