Andrew Leon

Andrew Leon has a diverse background in the renewable energy industry. Andrew started their career as an Installer at Strata Solar, LLC before progressing to roles as Foreman and Engineering Field Technician, where they oversaw the installation and quality control of utility-scale solar systems. Andrew then transitioned to Radian Generation, where they worked as a System Analyst, responsible for analyzing production data, managing O&M contracts, and optimizing project portfolios. Andrew later joined Cypress Creek Renewables as a Plant Manager, operating a 74.8 MW solar farm and overseeing maintenance and stakeholder communication. Currently, Andrew serves as the Director of Health & Safety at ACT Power Services, where they utilize their extensive experience to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Andrew Leon earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Appropriate Technology with a minor in Planning from Appalachian State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Andrew also holds several certifications, including General Industry Manager of Environmental Safety & Health, OSHA General Industry 10 & 30 hour Authorized Outreach Trainer, Adult First Aid/CPR/AED, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional, Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Associated Professional Member (APM), Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control, Part 107 sUAS certificate, NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional, and NABCEP Solar Thermal Entry Level. The certifications were obtained between 2012 and 2023 from various institutions such as N.C. Department of Labor (NCDOL), NCSU Southeastern OSHA Training Institute, American Red Cross, NFPA, Board of Certified Safety Professionals, American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), SOUTH CAROLINA DHEC, FAA, and NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners.
