Bert Smid

Bert Smid has extensive experience in project management and commercial roles within the engineering sector. Starting as a project engineer and project manager at SPIE from 1995 to 1999, Bert later served as project manager at Sissing Elektrotechniek until 2003. From January 2014 to December 2017, Bert held the position of Commercieel Manager at Van Lente Systeemintegratie B.V., overseeing financial responsibility and client relations across various sectors including dairy and food processing. Since January 2018, Bert has worked as Client Manager at Actemium, focusing on solutions in process and mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and industrial automation for clients in the food and chemical industries in the Northeast Netherlands. Bert holds a postdoctoral degree in selling to large accounts from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam and a degree in energy technology from Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
