Chief Marketing Officer at Actian

Jennifer Jackson is the current Chief Marketing Officer at Actian. Prior to this, they served as the Chief of Staff and VP of Digital Marketing and Strategy at Teradata from September 2012 to November 2021. In this role, they were responsible for the company's digital marketing transformation, demand and lead generation, business development, marketing strategy delivery, analytics, and foundational marketing operations for their data analytics platform company in a high growth market. Jennifer led a high performing team of senior leaders with KPIs including marketing's contribution to pipeline and ARR growth.

As Chief of Staff, Jackson served as delegate of the CMO on corporate transformation initiatives, working cross-functionally to define the role of marketing under new executive leadership. Jennifer also drove the development of all persona based messaging to enable modernization and growth of the install base and support for velocity sales model. Jennifer optimized the organization's spend across channels, functions, and at the overarching program vs. people level.

Prior to their time at Teradata, Jackson was the Director of Marketing Operations at Hewlett Packard in Austin, TX from May 2000 to September 2012. In this role, they were responsible for managing a team of marketing professionals and overseeing all aspects of marketing operations for the company. Jennifer also served on the board of MOCCA (Marketing Operations Cross Company Alliance) from July 2016 to January 2018.

Jennifer Jackson has a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

They are on a team with Emma McGrattan - SVP, Engineering, Dominic Sartorio - SVP, Product, and Steve Padgett - CIO. Their manager is Lewis Black, CEO.
