Bill Reinke has worked in the software engineering industry since 1985. Bill began their career at Calma Company as a Software Development Engineer. In 1988, they moved to Computervision as a Section Manager of Geometric Modeling, where they added NURBS curve and surface capabilities to Calma's flagship Design, Drafting and Manufacturing (DDM) solution and led one of two teams that added Constructive Solid Geometry capabilities. Bill then moved to Prime as an Engineer in 1988 before joining Autodesk, Inc. in 1991 as a Senior Programmer in the Advanced Modeling Group. In 1993, Bill Reinke founded Context CAD, Inc. as President, where they designed, developed, sold and supported solid modeling applications based on AutoCAD. Bill consulted for AutoCAD-based development with companies such as Autodesk, Hewlett-Packard and EMT Software. In 2000, they joined Kabira Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Engineer in the Application Engineering Group. In 2009, they worked as a Contractor for both Cadalog, Inc. and Kabira Technologies, fulfilling a 3-month contract to help develop and test a custom financial services application based on Kabira's "Fluency" transactional JVM. Since 2011, they have been employed as a Senior Engineer 2 at Actify, Inc.

Bill Reinke's education history includes an Associate of Arts degree in Math, History, and Biology from the College of Lake County, obtained in 1975-1976. Bill then attended Northern Illinois University from 1975-1976, before transferring to Knox College to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics in 1976-1977. Finally, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from UC San Diego in 1977-1982. Additionally, Reinke has obtained two certifications from Workato, the Automation Pro I Certification and Automation Pro II Certification, both obtained in June 2021.
