Kombo Elijah

Kombo Elijah has a diverse range of work experience in the finance and humanitarian sectors. Kombo currently holds the position of Head of Finance Department at Action Against Hunger UK. Previously, they worked as a Program Support Manager at Medair and as a Non Executive CEO/Founder at Gardener Africa Foundation. Kombo also served as the Support Services Manager at Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion from July 2019 to August 2020. Additionally, they held the role of Head of Base at Action Against Hunger | ACF-UK from October 2017 to May 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Independent Finance Consultant at Dignitas International and as a Regional Finance Advisor at Marie Stopes International. Kombo also served as the Interim Country Finance Director at Medical Emergency Relief International (MERLIN), and as a Roving Finance Controller at the International Rescue Committee. Lastly, they held the position of Regional Finance Delegate at the Netherlands Red Cross. Throughout their career, Kombo Elijah has demonstrated skills in finance management, program support, and strategic leadership.

Kombo Elijah holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from Global Nxt University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance at the University of Melbourne from 2009 to 2010. Kombo also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Global Nxt University between 2007 and 2009. Kombo completed their undergraduate studies at Africa Nazarene University, where they earned a Bachelors of Commerce degree in Finance from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, they received a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation from KCA University from 2001 to 2004. Recently, Kombo obtained a certification from CrossLbowledge called CrossKnowledge, although the exact month and year of achievement are unknown.
