Jan Alexander Smolaga FRSA is an accomplished business development professional with extensive experience in managing and developing event programs, particularly in the charity sector. Currently serving as Business Development Manager at Action Challenge since April 2018, Jan oversees a program involving 30,000 participants annually, generating over £7 million for various causes. Previously, Jan held the position of International Business Manager, managing a global team for challenge events. Prior experience includes roles such as Head of Programmes at Rare Adventures, where Jan transformed a startup into a leading student adventure travel company, and Logistics Project Manager at Childreach International, coordinating large-scale challenge events worldwide. Jan began a career in project management with positions at Research Machines and Sage, contributing to product introductions and online customer support strategies respectively. An educational background includes a MA in Literary Studies and a BA in English Literature from Newcastle University.
