Mubarak Bashir, MPA, has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Mubarak is currently serving as the VP for Youth and Community Services at Action for a Better Community, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Director at GREYSTON, where they played a key role in launching Greyston's Pilot in Rochester and promoting Open Hiring in the community. Mubarak has also held positions at the Urban League of Rochester, including Divisional Director of Workforce Development and Program Director, where they oversaw various programs and supervised staff. Additionally, they worked as a Program Coordinator and Program Counselor at the Urban League of Rochester, where they provided support to disadvantaged youth and assisted in program enrollment, job placement, and college enrollment. Before joining the Urban League of Rochester, Mubarak worked as a Therapeutic Staff Support at TW Ponessa and as a Sales Manager at Wholesale Rug.
Mubarak Bashir, MPA, pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Later on, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from SUNY Brockport, from 2017 to 2019.
