Michael O'Sullivan

Michael O'Sullivan has over 45 years of extensive experience in children's services and social care, currently serving as the Operational Director for Children's Services at Action for Children since July 2002. His responsibilities include overseeing Children's Centres in Hampshire and early years services in West Berkshire, as well as managing support services for homeless and workless young people in Guernsey. Previous roles include Group Manager and Deputy Director at Action for Children, where Michael led diverse services ranging from residential and community-based disability support to family intervention programs. Michael has also held key positions in various local councils, managing child protection transitions and local authority services. An academic background in social work and law complements his professional journey, with degrees from prestigious institutions such as the University of Leicester and Birmingham City University.
