Simon Harford

Simon Harford is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Adviser at Actis since 2006, where responsibilities include energy sector investing, base-load renewables, gas, and off-grid models. Prior to this role, Simon held the position of Chief Executive Officer at The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet from January 2022 to January 2024 and served as Chair of the Investment Committee at Novastar Ventures focusing on scalable social enterprises from December 2019 to December 2022. Earlier experience includes senior advisory roles at the Larry Ellison Foundation and Virgin, as well as executive management positions at British Airways and consulting at The Boston Consulting Group. Simon holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
