Dermot Beirne is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in senior leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Activ8 Solar Energies since June 2023, Dermot previously held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer at College Group from July 2019 to June 2023, and CFO at Suretank Group from April 2008 to June 2019. Dermot began a career at BDO Ireland as Senior Manager from October 1999 to March 2008. An alumnus of Stanford University, Dermot completed a program in Strategic Leadership for CFOs in 2015. Dermot is also a Chartered Accountant, having achieved the ACA designation from Chartered Accountants Ireland between 1999 and 2002. Educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Accounting (MBS) from Dublin City University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance from the same institution.
