Jae Yoong Cho

Jae Yoong Cho is the Co-Founder and CEO of Enertia Microsystems Inc., a company established in September 2017 that specializes in commercializing low-cost, ultra-high-accuracy MEMS inertial sensors for emerging applications. In addition to this role, Jae Yoong Cho serves as a Fellow at Activate since June 2021. Prior experience includes an extensive tenure at the University of Michigan from September 2004 to January 2021, where Jae Yoong Cho held positions as Assistant Research Scientist focusing on innovating micro inertial sensor performance, Postdoctoral Research Fellow developing high-performance micromachined inertial measurement sensors, and Graduate Student Research Assistant working on the creation of Si MEMS gyroscopes. Jae Yoong Cho earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2012 and a BSE in Electrical Engineering and Material Science and Engineering from the same institution in 2004, after initial studies at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
