Katy Jinkins, PhD, currently serves as an Activate Fellow at Activate since June 2023 and is the CEO and Co-Founder of SixLine Semiconductor, where the development of patented carbon nanotube alignment technology addresses challenges in the semiconductor electronics industry. Prior to these roles, Katy was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Northwestern University, focusing on the design and testing of biomedical devices, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where efforts centered on carbon nanotube alignment techniques. Katy's research experience includes positions at various institutions, investigating topics such as graphene properties and ultrasonic spray coating for flexible electronics. Educational credentials include a PhD and Master's degree in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
