Laurie Besson

Laurie Besson is a Scientist I at Active Biomarkers since November 2022, with a prior role as Chargée de Projet at Centre Léon Bérard from May 2019 to November 2022, focusing on the research of intra-tumoral regulatory T cell subpopulations in breast cancer and new therapeutic targets. Laurie's experience includes techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, cell culture, and RNA sequencing, along with responsibilities in literature reviews, culture management, stock handling, test development, data analysis, and technical supervision of interns. Previously, Laurie worked at CIRI Centre International de Recherche en Infectiologie as an Ingénieur d’études, investigating the effects of everolimus on NK cells in metastatic breast cancer and multiple myeloma. Early training included Master’s internships that examined NK cell responses to obesity and monoclonal antibody therapy. Education comprises a Master’s degree in Biologie Santé Ecologie from École Pratique des Hautes Études and certification as a Laboratory Assistant from l'ESTBB. Publications include significant research on NK cells and tumor environments, contributing to advancements in immunology.
