Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy

At Active Rehab, we live and breathe our values, and pride ourselves on our dedication to professional excellence, education, community contribution and our unique team culture. Established in 1986, our team of more than 100 highly qualified team members, provide physiotherapy services in hospitals and in our clinic locations across SE Queensland. We’ve made a serious commitment to excellence in physiotherapy. We’re actively involved with the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and have consistently achieved accreditation through QIP, recognition of our commitment to best practice, quality, systems and processes and continuous improvement. Our ‘Active Approach’ sets us apart and enhances positive outcomes for our valued patients. To promote this, our practices incorporate well equipped gymnasiums. We have strong experience in several clinical streams, spanning the continuum of care: Musculoskeletal, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Child and Adolescent Continence, Vestibular, Orthopaedics, Spinal Neurosurgery, Neurology, Cancer Care and Headaches. We proudly partner with our hospital and university partners, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver these physiotherapy services. We have adopted a unique approach, which provides a ‘connected care’ experience for our patients – continuing their physiotherapy care with the same experienced team, from preparation or prehab, during hospital admissions, working with their doctors in outpatient clinics, and then guiding rehabilitation at our community-based clinics and through online video consultations, via ‘PhysiApp’. Research, ongoing professional development and training of future physiotherapists are highly valued within the Active Rehab team. The Active Rehabilitation Research Foundation was established in 2017 to support our existing research activities and partnerships, as well as to create impact through supporting physiotherapy education, in Australia and Timor Leste.
