Monica D. Traystman, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of health and wellness. Monica D. started their career in 1987 as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dept of Pediatrics, where they worked until 1989. In 2009, they joined Active Wellness, LLC as a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Monica D. also worked as a Coach Coordinator and Certified Health and Wellness Coach at Active Sports Clubs during the same period. Additionally, Monica was the owner of Healthy Spirit, Inc. & Health To Go at some point.

Monica D. Traystman, Ph.D. holds an M.S. in Psychometrics & Research from The Johns Hopkins University. Monica D. also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from St Andrews Presbyterian College.
