Jen Kelley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jen started their career as a Writing Intern at The Daily Press in 2010 and later worked as a Broadcast Meteorology Intern at KBJR-TV. Jen then transitioned to a role as a Staff Writer at Drifts, where they wrote articles on campus events and conducted interviews and research.

In 2011, Jen became a Barista at Starbucks before taking on the role of Front of House Manager at Treads N Threads the following year. Jen then joined Oasis Legal Finance as a Servicing Representative, managing a caseload, drafting legal documents, and negotiating with attorneys/paralegals. At Oasis Legal Finance, they also assisted in the development and testing of a new servicing page.

Jen's interest in app development led their to Vokal, where they worked as an iOS Dev, writing a server in Django and using in-house tools to build premium apps. Jen also improved and modernized a legacy app and implemented unit tests and UI tests for quality assurance.

Following their time at Vokal, Jen joined Reverb.com as an iOS Developer. Jen collaborated with design and backend teams to add new features to an existing app and assisted in localizing it. Jen also monitored releases for problems and quickly resolved them.

At ActiveCampaign, Jen has held multiple roles, starting as an iOS Developer and later transitioning to an Android Engineer. As an Android Engineer, they built two apps from scratch, increased the main app's user base, improved its play store review score, and worked closely with product/design teams to create new features. Jen also maintained a micro-service written in Kotlin and deployed with AWS, Kafka, K8s, and Springboot.

Throughout their career, Jen has acquired skills in Android development, including technologies like RXJava, Kotlin, coroutines, and Android Jetpack Libraries.

Overall, Jen Kelley has demonstrated expertise in mobile app development, project management, and problem-solving across different industries.

Jen Kelley attended Northland College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology with minors in Physics and Writing. In 2015, they also attended the Mobile Makers Academy to pursue iOS development but did not obtain a degree from this institution.
