Aung Thuya has a diverse work experience, starting from their role as a System Engineer at NTT DATA from July 2013 to May 2015. Aung then joined Global Travel Assistant as an Android Development Team Lead in May 2015 and remained in that position until November 2018.
From December 2018 to August 2019, Aung worked as a Senior Android Developer at Kargo Myanmar, where they also developed an iOS application. During this role, they gained experience in using Kotlin and MVP architecture, as well as various technologies such as GoogleMap SDK, GPS, Postman, Retrofit, and Cloud Messaging.
In August 2020, Aung joined UMG Myanmar as a Mobile Development Team Lead, and later got promoted to the position of Project Manager. In this role, they led the development of several applications, managed project ideas, collected requirements, estimated timelines, assigned tasks, created test cases, planned releases, and provided support after releases. Aung worked on this position until April 2022.
Currently, Aung Thuya is working as a Mobile Engineer at BigPay | Challenge Banking starting from September 2022.
Aung Thuya obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science (B.C.Sc) degree in Computer Programming from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon. This happened between the years 2010 and 2013. Additionally, they have acquired multiple certifications over the years. They obtained a Certificate in Soft Skills for Leaders from Strategy First University - SFU in May 2021. In December 2019, Aung Thuya obtained a certification in Project Management from the same institution. They also completed a course titled "Kotlin for Java Developers" on Coursera in October 2019. Aung Thuya attained the "Certified Secure Developer" certification from HackEDU in June 2023, and the "Bronze Phish Level - Basics of Cyber Resilience" certification from Phished in July 2023.
