Andrew Cowan

Andrew Cowan has worked in the technology industry since 1994. Andrew began their career as a Help Desk Analyst at WILCOM SYSTEMS LIMITED in 1994. In 1995, they moved to Manta Corp as a Lotus Notes Application Developer, where they developed and maintained Lotus Notes/Domino applications and managed Y2K verification programs. In 1997, they joined Entrust as a Technical Business Development Manager, working with technical partners to design and implement PKI ready applications, running technical partner software verification and certification labs, and writing and delivering API toolkit training. In 2001, they became a Security Architect at Zucotto Wireless Inc, providing security reviews of software and hardware product designs and engaging with product managers and product owners to define product security strategy and direction. Andrew also represented corporate technical and market interests at international standards organisations. In 2002, they moved to Cinnabar Networks Inc as a Security Architect, designing, documenting and implementing information protection solutions for national secret level networks. In 2007, they became a Solutions Architect at Titus. In 2009, they joined Boldon James as a Senior Solutions Architect, collecting, assessing and prioritizing customer requirements via road map and account review sessions, writing feature requirement descriptions for the development team, and reviewing implementation plans and prototype versions of features for comparison to customer expectations. Andrew is currently a Product Manager at ActiveNav.

Andrew Cowan obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics in Applied Mathematics from the University of Waterloo between 1989 and 1994.
