Mike Irvine

Dr. Mike Irvine brings more than 30 years of healthcare product development experience to Active Needle Technology. Mike has worked with the founding team prior to, during and since the organisation’s inception. Mike has prior experience of image-guided medical procedures using ultrasound and other imaging modalities. He has been instrumental in bringing a wide range of novel imaging, therapeutic, diagnostic and sensing technologies / products to worldwide markets. This has been done in a variety of medical device organisations ranging from startups to multinationals. Mike’s product development activities are complemented by his experience of business development and alliance management. Mike holds a PhD in Chemical Physics from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Chemist, member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
