Rheyaz Ismail began their career in 2010 as an Electrical Associate at Lowe's Companies, Inc., where they prepared for customer inquiries by studying products, services, and customer service processes, and improved quality service by recommending improved processes and identifying new product and service applications. In 2012, they joined Staples as a Resident Technician, where they identified, troubleshot, and analyzed computer related issues, determined appropriate courses of action, conducted repairs, modifications, and upgraded internal components and peripherals as needed. In 2014, they joined ActivEngage as Business Development Manager, where their primary focus included assisting in project management and communication of business partnerships internally and externally, launching new partnerships or projects, and successfully managing the relationship between clients/stakeholders. Rheyaz then moved to the role of Business Development Specialist, where they forecasted and tracked key account metrics with analysis of performance and report management, built rapport with clients as needed, and acted as a liaison among departments within the company. Lastly, they held the role of Team Leader, where they maintained quality by monitoring trends and developing Chat Specialists, worked closely with Chat Specialists by building an action plan to ensure success in performance, and answered questions from Chat Specialists regarding specific chat conversations.

Rheyaz Ismail earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Information Technology from the University of Central Florida in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Information Technology from Valencia College in 2013. In 2012, they also obtained two certificates from Valencia College: a Computer Information Technology Analyst Certificate and a Computer Information Technology Specialist Certificate.
