Chris Horril

Global Head of Partnerships and Resellers at ActiveViam

Chris Horril has over 40 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Chris began their career at PAFEC as a Software Developer from December 1978 to January 1980, followed by a role as a Software Engineer at CEGB from September 1982 to September 1987. Chris then worked at British Telecom as a Software Developer from September 1987 to September 1988.

In 1988, Chris joined Logica as a Consultant Trading and Risk Systems, where they installed the first Tibco-based projects in London and worked with clients such as Barings, Credit Suisse, and HSBC. Chris stayed at Logica until 1994.

From 1994 to 1998, Chris worked at Summit Financial Systems as a Technical Manager, leading a team responsible for pre-sales technical support and implementation services. During their time there, the team grew significantly.

Next, Chris joined Tamesis as the CTO, where they designed and built Risk Informer, one of the earliest distributed Java platforms. Chris also set up and managed the company's office in New York City. Tamesis was later acquired by Patsystems in August 2005.

At Patsystems, Chris served as a Development Manager from August 2005 to January 2008, overseeing the development team.

Since February 2008, Chris has been associated with ActiveViam. Chris started as a Technical Director, leading the technical team at the London office and specializing in ActivePivot, the company's in-memory real-time high-performance OLAP solution. Chris currently holds the position of Global Head of Partnerships and Resellers at ActiveViam.

Throughout their career, Chris has gained extensive experience in technical leadership, partnerships, reseller management, and implementing complex solutions for clients.

Chris Horril attended Nottingham High School from 1971 to 1978. Following their time at Nottingham High School, they pursued a degree in Physics at the University of Oxford from 1979 to 1982 and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Physics.
