Adams Greenwood-Ericksen

Director, User Research at Activision

Adams Greenwood-Ericksen has a wide range of work experience in the field of user research and game studies. They have held positions such as Director of User Research at Activision, Associate Professor of Game Studies and User Experience at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Director of the Harrisburg University User Experience Center, and Director of Game User Research, Inc. Adams also worked as the Chief Scientist at Full Sail University User Experience Lab and as a Course Director at Full Sail University. Prior to that, they were a Senior Research Associate at Design Interactive, Inc., a Research Associate at UCF School of Film and Digital Media, and a Research Associate at the School of Modeling, Simulation, & Training. Adams has also worked as a Consultant for EA Games.

Adams Greenwood-Ericksen has a strong education background. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Experimental and Human Factors Psychology from the University of Central Florida, which they completed between 2001 and 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation from the same institution, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. Adams Greenwood-Ericksen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Washington and Lee University, which they completed from 1997 to 2001. They also completed their high school education at The Edmund Burke School from 1992 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Adams Greenwood-Ericksen has obtained several additional certifications. In August 2021, they became a Certified Accessible Player Experience Practitioner from The AbleGamers Charity. They also obtained certifications in Interaction Design: Interface, UX Research Methods: Interviewing, and UX Deep Dive: Usability Testing from LinkedIn in September 2020 and July 2020, respectively.
