Ben Gierhart

Ben Gierhart is a seasoned communications professional and playwright, currently serving as the Communications Coordinator at the Actors Theatre of Louisville since May 2022. With a prolific background in playwriting established since 2016, Gierhart has received multiple accolades, including the Charles M. Getchell New Play Award and first place in the inaugural 24-Hour Play Contest. Gierhart has also contributed to the theater community through commissioned works and staged readings for various local companies. As a freelance writer and theater artist since 2017, Gierhart manages diverse projects for clients including major publications and local arts organizations. Previous experience includes roles as a bartender and house manager, showcasing a blend of creative and organizational skills, complemented by an Associate of Arts degree and a certificate in Front End Web Development.
