Lisa Hackett

Lisa Hackett is a Pediatric Resident at The University of British Columbia since May 2023, building on a diverse background in both health and the arts. Hackett has extensive experience in research as a Research Assistant at Dalhousie University from May 2018 to May 2023, studying various aspects of human sexuality under Dr. Matthew Numer and continuing research with the Indigenous Wellness lab. Prior to this, Hackett coordinated the Súa Youth Cultural Program at Spirit Bear Lodge from June 2015 to July 2019, focusing on Kitasoo and Xai Xais storytelling traditions. As an actor since July 2014, represented by Sky Talent in Halifax, Hackett engages in various projects ranging from short films to radio ads and sketch comedy. Hackett also contributed to the Canadian Improv Games as a coach from September 2013 to May 2015. Educationally, Hackett is pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine at The University of British Columbia, holding a Master of Arts in Health Promotion and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences from Dalhousie University.
